Do You Want the Life… or the Lifestyle?

Do you want the life or the lifestyle?

This has been on my mind a lot lately.

There’s a difference between wanting the life and wanting the lifestyle.

When I was in college, I really wanted the life of a fit guy. Someone who never got tired, who could out lift and run everyone, and a six-pack would have been nice.

But I didn’t want the lifestyle.

I didn’t want to track my food, say no to booze, or to the nights out.

After graduation, I craved mental peace. I wanted to be the calm, confident guy who could sit in silence. Present. Focused.

But I didn’t want the lifestyle that creates that. I didn't want to skip the dopamine hits from scrolling, or embrace the uncomfortableness of silence.

Then when I first started my business, I wanted the results of a successful entrepreneur… freedom, income and purpose.

But cold outreach? Hard conversations? Saying no to travel? I didn't want that.

But here’s the truth:

Most guys say they want the life, but they resist the lifestyle.

And if that’s you, that’s okay. I have been there.

The only way to stop it, is to understand in order to get the life you want, you need to adopt the lifestyle.

If you are not willing to adopt the lifestyle, then stop driving yourself crazy by chasing a version of life you're not willing to earn.

If you look at the lifestyle and realize, wait I can do (or even better, I want to do that), things start to change.

When I finally said, “I want to live like the guy who has peace, energy, strength, and impact,” I started to enjoy it.

Now I like eating clean. I want the quiet mornings. I crave the structure that used to feel restrictive.

Because I’ve seen where that lifestyle leads.

So ask yourself: Are you chasing the life or committing to the lifestyle?

If you’re ready to build both, I’ve got a system that helps you do exactly that.

Clarity. Consistency. Accountability. That’s how we flip the switch from wishing to winning.

Reply “LIFESTYLE” and I’ll send you the next steps.

I'm back on the east coast, so I was able to see a bunch of family this week! Here's one with my Aunt Laurie, Uncle Ron and my dad.

Till next week, be kind, be curious and work hard.
